So the other day, I'm flying out the door to catch my bus, ever watchful of what wildlife I might encounter (skunks are the usual greeters)and look what I found.
I'm sure they came to look at my tulips that were having a bad hair day, all because of that wicked wind.

Oh, I love your tulips. It's too warm for them here and I wish it were not. Those little duckies are much better than skunks (which we have trouble with too).
I love roaming ducks, especially when they travel in pairs. So adorable! And your tulips, however wind-blown, look lovely!
(snicker) Your post made me laugh today. I love the idea of a wicked wind giving those poor tulips a bad hair day. Makes me want to draw them.... (Grin)
It's definitely spring! Those are great pictures.
Yeah, my hair looks like that too sometimes. Ducks are adorable how they walk around in pairs like that. So sweet :)
That bit of wildlife doesn't look bad at all :-)
The tulips look very whimsical! :)
Yikes. I'd much rather find ducks than a skunk. Here's Mine
Ah, it is surprising what we can find in our own backyards!
Yes, rather ducks than skunks!
Thanks for visiting my blog.
The tulips still look pretty and the ducks are a much nicer surprise than skunks...LOL
HaHa! Bad hair day...I love it!
haha, cute ducks!
HAH! Tulips in southern Ontario. Mine here in Nova Scotia don't even have buds. :-(
The Tulips are amazing~
See y'all next weekend at the Saturday PhotoHunt!
I wonder if that's the same pair of Mallards that make a stop at my swimming pool each year? Be that as it may, I had Mallard photos this week, too! LOL
I'd much rather see ducks than skunks!
I cannot even believe the coincidence of this, but on Friday, when I arrived at work I got out of my car in the parking lot and these two ducks waddled down a slope, toward me. And when say "these" two ducks -- I mean, it might as well be these VERY ones in your photo. Same exact coloration... even the grass and where the car is looks the same.
They were so cute [and tame] and looking at me so expectantly, and quacking a little bit -- so I opened my lunch bag and tore off all my pizza crusts and fed them in little duck-size pieces -- the more colorful one ate the things right out of my hand, nipping away. It was adorable.
Now I am confused...do you really have skunks there?
But I love the tulips anyway!
Oh how cuuuuute! They look right at home there! The ducks, I mean. Your tulips were taking a beating but they're still very pretty, dear Irene. We're having a very windy day today. I like it as long as I don't have to spend a lot of time outside.
oh, I wish they'd come to our house! Everyone gets all cranky in suburbia, but I'd go out and sit with them with my socks off until they came by for a nibble.
yeah.
I'm one of *those* people.
