The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie ....

There are a number of reason why I chose this book, most significantly probably it was that I'm a mystery junkie, I've been trying to read books by Canadian authors more frequently and then of course it has gotten raving reviews.  I thoroughly enjoyed it (thanks Jenners).  I love Flavia, what a colourful imagination.

I can't buy/borrow the next in the series as I'm reading from my shelves until April 1st. Drat!

Flavia sounds like quite a character, dear Irene. I can't believe how disciplined you are with your reading. I think that's terrific. I "sip" at books more than properly read them! I have ten or more going at any given time! The one I read depends on where in the house I happen to be sitting. I sent you something in the mail.

Isn't Flavia a delight? I need to get back to this series.

Isn't Flavia the best? I think it is best to dole these books out in small doses so don't feel too bad … the next one is waiting for you in April!

I'm glad you liked it for the most part. I've done all the books as audiobooks and love the voice of the narrator as Flavia.

Happy Birthday
