Mailbox Monday...

Well I'd really like to tell you I got a gold mine of books this week, but alas, the Postal Strike is still going strong.  Apparently the House of Senates did a Sunday session and legislated them back.  They'll go into arbitration and start sorting mail again on Tuesday. Doesn't mean I'll have any books delivered any time soon, they're probably in Tim Buck Two as we speak.  Off to do battle with bookshelves.  Didn't get much done on Friday at my mom's nursing home library, there was an emergency and I just could not focus, so today is double duty. I got quite a stash in my mom's room and I'm thinking my sisters will be saying I'm leaving a mess. I like to think the room looks lived in.
Can't help thinking of this tune today.  Look at Mama Cass, boy she wouldn't even have qualified for The Biggest Loser Today.

Girl if you are depending on the postal service, and if it's anything like the one here in the good old US of A (I hope for your sake it's not), them books are lucky to be out of Tim Buck One.

Happy Monday, dear Irene! You'll find something to read, something to do, somewhere to go, something to cook and someone to love! That's just the way you are.

I hope the strike is over soon so that you can get many many books. I would be devastated without my book mail. :)

HA! The biggest loser...

Postal strike? That's not allowed! These things should be social services, to keep the country strong and the citizens safe and well. I can't believe there's a strike!

I love the U.S. Postal service. I'm amazed they get so much right. I have sent hundreds of things out to places all over the world, and they get there. It's amazing. How can that happen? And often, for just 44 cents! What?! I don't even have to get in my car!

What was my point? OH! My point was, I'm also amazed at how loyally you get your reading done! I'm in awe. Did you join Good Reads, yet? I was supposed to start leaving reviews, and I'm just sitting her slacking around.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
