On the Campaign trail...

I'm having some health issues this week and I'm not sure what's going on, started with a headache, then some coughing and today my back is just killing me. So.... I've been taking breaks from my Easter preparations and flicking on the TV.  This weekend Canada holds their advance polls, voting in our Federal Election.   There is a whole lot of campaigning going on. This was all a lunch time discussion at my furniture restoration class the other day, and it became quite clear that many of these visits by our candidates are held in areas with invitation only participants, for example we watch the TV thinking everyone is loving this candidate, well of course they would they are party members, sort of cheerleaders for the guys. So when we see Jack in Quebec, and we're thinking he's got all this support and we're getting worried, well Jack probably brought a good number of those cheers with him, and they all fit nicely into the Television frame.    Don't be fooled CANADIANS.

I hope you feel better and better! And it sounds like Canadian elections are as fraught with stress as our American ones!

Don't be fooled AMERICANS either! Our dear leader is famous for stacking the deck in favor of himself. It'll all come out in the wash on both sides of the border.

Hope you're feeling better, dear Irene! I myself have a dreadful cold so I am sympathetic. Take care of yourself.

This is a teacup my aunt Julia gave me,  it's very gold.  When we were very young, my sisters and brother and I, all went to Polish ...
