Speaking of Hamburger...

Just before the big bite...
all chewed up...
I don't know if I've ever mentioned, but I don't do hamburgers.  Whilst painting away last weekend the subject somehow came up... I think it might have been just before lunch, and one of the ladies, I think Ruth, had brought a slow cooker filled with tiny little meatballs, with a wonderful sweet sauce.  This brought to mind my mother in law.  Whenever we have a family gathering and I ask what she would like me to bring, it's always the same, sweet and sour meatballs.  32 years of sweet and sour meatballs.  I protested silently for the past couple of years and refused to do them.  I hate making meatballs.  I didn't get the call to come to dinner this time, my husband did. Now understand that when I say get the call for dinner, it only means we're eating there, we bring the food.  Above you'll see a delicious burger, that my son Daniel introduced us to.  After his army graduation he suggest food, what student wouldn't? We went to Burger Bar, yummy.  My husband had a buffalo burger, Daniel had the Kobi burger, and I had a turkey burger, with yummy cranberry relish.  Delicious.  The only other burger I've eaten recently was one we had and Five Guys on our trip to Virginia.  We'll be getting a Five Guys soon here in Mississauga, just up the street from Leslie. Hmmmmmm. Enjoy your day.  I'm hoping to finish Musashi today.

Ya know it was one of the Art and Soul gangs review of Five Guys that led me there. I also don't "do" burgers generally. When hubby and I go to places like that I generally get the turkey burger or the salmon burger but no option at Five Guys. I've been there three times and oh boy is it great! Loads of fries though...my advise a small can be split by two.

That burger looks and sounds delicious. We've got Five Guys down in Connecticut and we tried them on one of our trips there. Very yummy.

I'm not a big fan of burgers either, but my guys are. They love Five Guys!

Ahhhhhh! I love me some Five Guys! I am a confirmed burger-holic. Truly.

Your sweet and sour meatballs sound scrumptious. When you come to my house? That's what you bring, dear Irene. =:~D
