For Today...

~ ~ ~ Hope For The Sweet Morning ~ ~
"For Christians, the beginning of the day should not be burdened and haunted by various kinds of concerns that they face during the day. The Lord stands above the new day, for God has made it. All restlessness, all impurity, all worry and anxiety flee before him. Therefore, in the early morning hours of the day, may our many thoughts and our many idle words be silent and may the first word and the first thought belong to the one to whom our whole life belongs "
~Dietrich Bonhoeffer

I'd never read this part of the post on The Simple Woman's Daybook, but today is a particularly anxious day for me, Dr. appointments always are. One cannot help but wonder what are they going to find? I started to do this meme for this very reason, to lay out my day so as not to have it be so demanding. So here it goes...

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...
This rose has given me a colourful morning from early spring, it has 9 long stem flowers on it today, and buds awaiting. It's hot and overcast today, and feels like rain. Finally.

I am thinking...I need to decide on what cake to bake for a wedding cake. I'm thinking walnut torte. It's got great body and can hold a second, and even a third layer.

I am thankful for...for my mother's friend who gave me this recipe, it was quite an ordeal, but in the end it's an all time favorite.

From the learning rooms...I'm stopping by the nursery today (after my Dr. appointment) to find out how to prune this great rose properly.
From the kitchen...chicken and potatoes.

I am wearing...my pyjamas.

I am creating...a mess, really, I've decided to clean closets, and things just don't fit back the way they are suppose to. This has been an ongoing project for this week.

I am going... to have a mammogram, and bone density done today.

I am reading...The Last Great Dance on Earth, Sandra Gulland

I am hoping...to not have to wait too long at the appointment, it's so stressful.

I am hearing...a pigeon on my roof,

Around the house...very messy, I've washed floors, walls, and vacuumed ceilings, and moved furniture, packed up things that are not being used, and found things I was looking for. I still haven't put away my Christmas Ornaments after sorting them out, I just love looking at them, I think in the rush around Christmas, I don't get to enjoy them too much.
One of my favorite things...memories of Christmas when my boys were little.

A few plans for the rest of the week:tomorrow I'm at my usual painting group, and Thursday I'm spending with my friend in Niagara Falls. Friday the usual visits with my seniors, and then Saturday I'll drop.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing

I've taken a couple really close-up photo's of this rose, because I'd like to paint it on my new shelf, but that's tomorrow's adventure.

This meme is hosted by The Simple Woman's Daybook.

I'm always happy when you stop by!! I especially liked the "Hope For The Sweet Morning " paragraph, it's so true. I like you have so much to do around here and there are times I get to my closets, baseboards or what ever else needs to be tended to there have been time's I just dont care about nothing but I'm catching myself doing more and I'm taking that as a good sign! We all need those "Me" days from time to time with the rush of life it's difficult to have them so when it's possible to have them we should all take advantage of that time....

Hugs to you~

I dread my mammograms too ... not the most fun experience and I'm always waiting to hear the worst. Hope your appointments went well.

And I so relate to making a mess in order to clean. I get very ambitious and then lose steam and I'm left with stuff all over the place.

Ugh the mamogram. I still find it hard to believe every time I go that they haven't figured out a better way. Isn't this meme wonderful? Sometimes I think do I want to give up my blog and just post on facebook, like it seems so many people are, and then I do this meme and think I want to stay right where I am. It's why I started keeping a blog to post about real life and show some pictures. RYC:I'm starting to understand about cat hair. Meeka's quite the shedder and we're finding it all over lol. I've been making time to brush him a couple times a day and he really loves it. Hoping that will help.

Dear Irene...I do hope your doctors visit went as un-stressfully as possible.

Funny I don't stress about them much, unless of course there are untoward results, of which I have been lucky to have had not many...only blood clots in my legs!!

Glad you enjoyed my country drive. Yes, there would be kangaroos along that stretch though I have never seen one. Then again I don't drive at night or sunrise, which is the dangerous times for them!
