For Today...

FOR TODAY
Outside my window...it's raining, yeh! no watering and I have an excuse not to garden.
I am thinking... I'd like to just curl up and read in my pajamas
I am thankful for...rain, my garden looks great after it.
From the learning rooms... I learned today that I could replace one of those zipper pulls that break off even though the rest of the zipper and jacket are still very o.k. $.49 total cost, of course I got to use some of my jewel making tools(which cost a lot more, but now I can justify even more their purchase) but I'm sure any house hold tools would have sufficed.
From the kitchen... fajitas(yuk)guess I'll be having a bowl of cereal.
I am wearing... my floor washing clothes
I am creating...a shelf for my dining room window so my cat has someplace to sit.
I am going... nowhere today, need to do housework
I am reading... About Alice (just finished with this last sip of coffee)wow he sure loved her. Would that we all could be loved like that.Maybe it's in the name, my brother-in-law loves my sister like that.
I am hoping... I still have a studio to paint in tomorrow, as I've neglected my membership
I am hearing... the top ten list box office hits, for 2009
Around the house... it's all quiet,my husband is doing reports, my son is watching garbage on t.v., the cat is watching the baby birds getting a flying lesson, I'm admiring my clematis finally in bloom outside my breakfast window. (who plans a garden they can enjoy out their window while having breakfast, I do. otherwise I seem to miss my flowers in bloom.)

I'm sharing this photo I took on the last day of our Virginia Trip from Art and Soul. We stayed at a Hilton Hotel and the lobby was all Folk Arty. This is a cabinet, I'd hoped I would have recognized the artist but I did not. I thought, Leslie paints as well if not better than that. I miss her at our painting sessions.

this meme is hosted by a simple woman's day book.

I like it when it rains, because that means I don't have to feel guilty for not mowing the yard....which I should be doing right now since the sun is shining. I hate mowing! Enjoy your quiet day inside.

I love when it rains and I can stay inside and read! I have lots of orders to finish before I can take a couple weeks vacation soon.

I'll trade you the rain and 66F degree day you have for the oppressive 90+F day we have here in VA. Our dew point is 72! Sticky doesn't begin to describe it. I'm watching the electric meter spinning!!

I live for rainy days when I don't have anywhere to go and no real reason to get dressed and no Sword of Damocles hanging over my head in the form of a deadline ... and books piled high in lamplight, and quiet, and hot fresh strong coffee ... ah. I wish for a day like that.

The book sounds wonderful. Another you're giving me to add to the ever growing list I hope one day to get around to reading. A rainy day is perfect sometimes. We had some rains last night and that's pretty good too cause it's so restful sleeping when it does.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my wonderful son,  it's bee 33wonderful years. Hope this year proves to be the best yet.
