Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about when do you read?
Do you have to carve out time in your day for reading (due to work and other obligations), or does your reading just happen naturally? Our hostess is MizB of Should be Reading.
I do have to carve out time for my reading. It just seems I'm the most disfunctional cleaning lady. So, last year when my mother was finally in a facility that didn't require me to worry, I said "that's it, Irene, if you don't make time to read now you'll soon lose your vision and that will be that there will be all those books you meant to read but didn't" so now I schedule the household chores and at the end of the day I make time for reading, and now I too always have a book with me when I wait for buses and trains. I can't tell you how much more time I seem to have to read. This is me patting myself on the back. Of coarse this has not improved my cleaning progress, but I think I don't care. My current read The Devils Punch Bowl even has me not sleeping and that a good thing, since I'll be able to sleep when I'm too old to read.
This is our pet cat, he lived with us for 18 years, adopted from a shelter, best cat ever. RIP Keahan
