A-Z Wednesday "F" Firewing

I'm posting a Kenneth Opel again, this particular series is a young adult, when I read it with my group of grade 8 students, I was hooked, I could easily be Bat girl now or more accurately bat old lady. I told my boys they had to at least come to my "home" and take me out for bat night. We try to do bat night each summer. Aren't I weird and I have weird kids too.

Shade, our hero from the first two books, has now grown and become a father himself. After an earthquake, his son Griffin is drawn into an underground world through a fissure that has opened up. Shade realizes that the legends say, if a living being enters the underworld realm of the dead and does not escape quickly, its life will be lost. Shade is frantically searching for his son and soon realizes an old enemy is
also in the underworld.

I haven't read this author's books. Sounds good, though.

sounds interesting Irene.

Thanks for visiting my raindrops!

Irene...cyclones would be the equivalent of your hurricanes I guess. Don't know why the different name though.

At this stage it is supposed to cross the coast about tomorrow but much further north. If it doesn't change direction, we might just get some wind and a bit more rain. Not being directly on the coast, am fairly well out of harm's way here anyway, and they very rarely come this far south!

I always love it when one of my friends introduces me to a writer I've never heard of before ...especially one who sounds interesting. Thanks Irene!
