It's Monday what are you reading.

Well it's May already.  April just flew by, it was very busy, and May doesn't look like it's going to slow down.  I didn't read great amounts, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading my Irish authors throughout the month of March, and finished Maeve Binchy, The Glass Lake, into the first week of April.  And then I had a Sarah Addison Allen thing happen to me.  If you've read Sugar Queen, you'll remember the character found books appropriate to her life, at the moment, dilemma.  Well I went to my monthly Antique Assoc. meeting and didn't we have a guest speaker on Stain glass windows and their history.  She focuses on Notre Dame.  Meanwhile in the book world,  Margaret from Books Please, had recommended, The Cleaner of Chartres.  I really enjoyed the read, and was now able to visualize the lovely descriptions.

Up next Pretty Girls

You make reading fun again. Hubs and I have side-tracked to reading dull books for the last few years, but I did get out "Texas" to read again. I read it when I was way younger and still lived in my native state of California and knew only of San Antonio. I've been in Texas for 12 years now, so thought I would reread it to see how much of the places in the book I recognize.

I wish you had a "follow by email" so I would know when you posted. I hate that I always seem to comment on posts you made days or weeks ago.

Well that dovetailed nicely, didn't it, dear Irene? What could be better than stained glass and Notre Dame? Not much, I imagine. xoxo
