Sunday Salon...

Family News…
My youngest son was so thrilled that his marks were A's and A- for his first term, good to see him feeling success, on the other hand, our eldest has gone back to take a spring course.  Hope he feels the same kind of success.

NOT On The Blog Last Week…
Preparations for our Provincial election June 12 is well underway, and I've been a little busier than usual.  Glad to see I haven't lost all my marbles, as soon as I sat down in front of the computer things came rolling back.  It's a very unfriendly program so it takes a little to get back to thinking like it, before I accomplish something.

I’m Reading…
The Bear,  not sure about this yet, I think the story line is one well worth telling, but I'm finding the child narrating a little annoying. I'd abandon it but, I've already done that with two books this week, and that's my limit for the month.
Listening To…
not much,  Handy Andy is doing reports, so I can hear him hammering away on the keyboard, usually he listens to the radio when he's doing this, so I can only assume this report is a little more intense than usual.
Watching…
Season finale's.  How about that Blacklist ending... and Days of our Lives is getting good.  Sorry to hear E.J. is leaving, I like him.

Exercise…
I'm walking again, only minimally, but nonetheless.
  .
I’m Looking Forward To:
Warmth on my face.  I think I needed gloves yesterday.

I’m Thankful For…
A man that loves his job, we're having some major expenses around our home this spring and thank goodness he loves working... not sure what we'd do otherwise.

In the kitchen…
I'm baking today and the rest of the week, wedding coming up and I'd like to take a few things for my sister in law's home reception.

A favorite quote…

Let them eat Cake...
One of the tulips that survived the squirrels nonsense... It's a lovely mixed colour. My sister Donna hauled a load of tulips from Holland on one of her patient transfer adventures.  The squirrels just mutilated them,  didn't eat them, just dug them up and let them freeze, I was out there in sub zero temps, digging them in again.

I think it's awesome that your youngest son got A's and A-'s! I also think it's awesome that your oldest son went back to take a spring course!

I've seen The Bear and thought about reading it. I hope it gets better for you.

I've started exercising again. Getting old(er) is not good on your body. Flexibility isn't what it used to be.

Our weather has been warm then chilly and back and forth with some rain thrown in. All I want it to do is to stay cool and not humid.

I used to bake all the time, but it's been a few months since I've done any.

Your quote made me LOL!!

That's a beautiful Tulip!!

Congrats to your son on his grades - that's fantastic!

I used to be addicted to Days of Our Lives in high school and college, but haven't watched in years. I'm always amazed when I see on the magazines that John and Marlena are still on there!

Yes, Carrie that's how I got addicted to Days of our Lives, I use to be on switchboard during the lunch periods at work, and then alone for my own lunch so I started to watch Days, I'm not at that job anymore, but Days is still part of my life. And General Hospital well, I nursed my first born during that time and the Doctor told me to relax and not think about nursing, and thus, hooked. I don't watch everyday, maybe once a week, that's enough.

Well, your tulips this year are just gorgeous. I too like the variegated ones. Eating cake is always a good idea, dear Irene. xoxo
