Snapshot Saturday... signs of spring?

Yes indeed, Spring is on it's way.  I hope.  This is a shot outside my window, we've over the past couple of days melted somewhat.  I missed the shot I was going for.  The birds are having quite a tizzy in those evergreens, there is an orange cat at the bottom, you can just see his tail now, when I started to focus his head was poking out.  It's a sunny day.  And as promised Handy Andy and our son Dan started the reno of the flooded basement.  I have never exercised so much, and thank you God, for keeping your hand over my mouth.
Vapour barrier in and the pink insulation is in also, and then Dan had to go to work. We should have taken the whole wall down this was a lot of fidgeting with the existing framing, it's amazing what builders will do to cut corners.  I just couldn't face more mess, but it would have made Daniels work a little easier, good thing he likes to fidget.

Saturday Snapshot To participate in Saturday Snapshot: post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky below. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online

P.S. check out the size of Handy Andy's gut,  maternity clothes????

Great photos. I hope you'll share the progress on your basement renovation project. I took pictures during our kitchen reno, and I'm glad I did. It's surprising how quickly you forget what the room looked like before.

Love seeing what the two men do best; worker and supervisor! Daniel does a great job!

Looks like our upstairs floor! It's going through a renovation, rather slowly... Glad to see those signs of spring coming. It looks about the same here!

Even the kitties are wishing and hoping for Springtime and bird and mousing season! Exciting that the basement will be renovated! What new things have you planned for the space?

Irene said...

Yes, Myriam, more snow. It's very cold as well, the 35 cold alert this winter. I have no problem with it warming slowly, maybe it will reduce the possibility of flooding.

I know you will be so glad when this project is over and successful!

Yaaay. I see some grass poking up under the snow. We're having a slow thaw here and while I dislike the continued cold, it's good that we haven't had any flooding (shhhhh).

Oh I hate it when my house is torn up, dear Irene. But so much needs doing. You are way ahead of me. Good for you and I know you will greatly enjoy the fruits of everyone's labor. xoxo Jenny
