For Today...

FOR TODAY
Outside my window... it's Spring/Summer, lovely and warm, no coats, not too much sun, but lovely nonetheless.

I am thinking... I should go paint...

I am thankful...that we've all eaten out, separately, so I don't have to cook.

From the learning rooms... I'm learning that I'm not sixteen anymore, and I shouldn't try to jump up on the counter, or do all my gardening or anything ALL in one day.

In the kitchen...NOTHING

I am wearing...really comfy clothes, for painting.

I am creating...WELL,  I'm painting a gorgeous Geisha, hope she turns out as lovely as I want her to be.

I am going...no place.

I am wondering...how I ever did all the stuff I did, and still painted everyday.  I'm struggling to paint once a week now.

I am reading...Crooked letter, crooked letter, ooooooooh.

I am hoping...to get to a certain point in my painting tonight, so I'll be at an all new point, with problems solved, for morning.

I am looking forward to...Thursday, it's an easier day than usual.

I am hearing...bird chirping, they NEVER shut up. They've had me awake since 4:30 a.m.  I've started to have evil thoughts.

Around the house...just stuff, I cleaned my little heart out yesterday, you would never know it. I brought home some of my  furniture from refinishing class, with a big help from my son (The King and his girlfriend).  I was almost afraid to spend those few hours with them, they are just so weird.

I am pondering... the direction my garden needs to take.

One of my favorite things...a freshly varnished piece of something I've just spent months working on.  Like my new silver dresser.  Yes silver, with golden highlights, it cool. I'll post a picture when I get some handles on it.

A few plans for the rest of the week: painting Wed,painting with my friends, Thursday upholstery, Friday volunteering and visiting my mom, Saturday book sale.  Sunday crash.

I had this brilliant idea of adding "real paintings to my cookbook, so here is a little watercolor I did recently with Shelley Prior at the Coast 2 Coast Convention.   I think I'll put this with my lemon meringue pie recipe.  I've been having a craving.

For today is usually hosted by The Simple Woman's Day book, which I cannot seem to find. Sorry.

I hear you on those darn birds wanting to sing before the sun is up! I still think I can do everything like I did when I was in my 20s.

I did a Simple Woman's Daybook for a few years and then stopped. I think I'll start doing it again.

I still haven't read Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter. Maybe soon...

Wow … an illustrated cookbook with your own paintings. Impressive. I don't see why you're not doing a crafting blog with much moe detail.
